Welcome to our MMRF Race for Research Homepage!

April 6, 2014, I will be participating in the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) Race for Research 5K Walk/Run in San Francisco.  I have committed to raising awareness and funds to accelerate finding a cure for multiple myeloma, which is the second most common blood cancer and is incurable.   Your generosity truly makes a difference, as funds raised at this event have helped to:

  • Double patient survival
  • Deliver six new treatments in less than a decade
  • Bring 24 new treatments into clinical trials

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) was established in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by twin sisters Karen Andrews and Kathy Giusti, soon after Kathy's diagnosis with multiple myeloma.  The mission of the MMRF is to relentlessly pursue innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure.

I have committed to raise funds for research through my participation at this inspiring MMRF Race for Research 5K event.  I have personally benefited from the research results of the MMRF. I am grateful for their tireless efforts on my behalf and others living with cancer. I am also grateful to the exraordinadry group of family & friends that have run, walked, & donated for the past 5 years. Let's keep it going until there is a cure.

I hope that you will be able to join my team and support my efforts and this wonderful organization. I thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Go Team McCarrick!
