Kostick Kicking Cancer!

Help us KICK CANCER!

June 12, 2015 is a day I will always remember.  This was the day that Andy was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.  I had no idea what that really meant to us and our family at the time.  Over the past 9 months, I have learned so much as Andy has undergone several therapies both in and out of the hospital.  I am thankful for the great success and reductions we have seen in his cancer thus far!  He is currently on a therapy that was FDA approved less than 3 months ago with the help of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF).  What an amazing organization! The money raised for MMFR is making a REAL difference!  While it has not been an easy road, I am inspired regularly by Andy’s focus, sense of humor, positive outlook and unwavering will to beat this!  I look forward to him kicking cancer in 2016!

Please join me on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Marina Green (Marina Blvd & Scott St) for a 1pm start as I run/walk to raise awareness and money for vital research to fight this cancer!

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) was established in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission of relentlessly pursuing innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure.

As the world's number-one private funder of multiple myeloma research, the MMRF has raised over $300 million since its inception and directs 90% of total budget to research and related programming.   The MMRF has received a “Best in America” Seal of Excellence from the Independent Charities of America, and an “A+” rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy. The MMRF has been recognized by Philanthropedia as one of 16 expert-identified, high-impact nonprofits in the field of cancer. We are also in compliance with all of the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability.  Rated 1 of 2 highly rated cancer organizations from Consumer Reports.

If you cannot join us that day, please sponsor my fundraising effort to keep research strong and vibrant.  Your donation will have a meaningful impact on the lives of thousands of patients and their families!  The MMRF is bringing treatments to trial 60 percent faster than the industry standard and tripling life expectancy.  THIS IS SCIENCE, NOT FICTION.  The MMRF needs your support.  History is being made, so we invite you to join us.

Thank you for your never ending support and well wishes over the past 9 months!  I look forward to Andy kicking cancer in 2016!!!
